WATCH: Is this the greatest par save in the history of golf?

When we think of great plays in golf, we usually think of guys who hit pin seeking missiles and drill 30ft putts. However, it’s hard to top an amazing recovery shot, and this one is about as good as it gets, courtesy of Ryan Fox.

Although it’s always fun to see long drives in the fairway, and deadeye birdie putts, but a lot of times, the recovery shots can be just as pretty. Just ask Ryan Fox, who, at the Scottish Open hit one of the best recovery shots you’ll ever see.

He got himself an ace. Excuse me, he got himself a “pace” or a “par-in-one” if that makes sense.

After hitting his tee shot out of bounds, Fox had to tee it up again. However, this time, the ball magically found the bottom of the cup.

This makes you wonder. If this happened to you, do you still cherish it as if you got a hole-in-one? Or do you view as a lucky shot and move on?

Honestly, I’d say, cherish it. You can at least say that you did hole out from the tee on a par-3 (rhymes).

Of course, if you do get yourself an ace, then you can put the “pace” to bed. If anything, you’ll still have a great story to tell.
