Dustin Johnson is one of the best golfers in the world. He has however had some heartbreaking moments and one of those was his now infamous three-putt at the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay back in June.
In case you were hiding in a cave somewhere, DJ had a chance to win the U.S. Open with 12 foot putt but missed. He had a chance to stay tied with Jordan Spieth with a four footer for par but missed that.
Jordan would go on to win his second straight major.
So University of Washington Tacoma had a golf tournament that was held at Chambers Bay and on the 18th hole, there was a “Dustin Johnson Challenge” which has participants testing their putting skills on the Robert Trent Jones Jr layout’s 18th green.
You win the challenge if you don’t three-putt.
Here’s the sign:
The event was all for a good cause for the Robert Trent Jones Jr. Scholarship Fund. And my goodness did RTJ Jr. design a beast.
I don’t think any of us will forget Chambers Bay anytime soon. Especially DJ. But he’s still dangerous nonethless.
