Oakmont is one of hardest and most famous golf courses in the world. To use a video game reference, it may the Dark Souls (a game known for its high level of difficulty) of golf courses.
This was proven as Rickie Fowler was recorded hitting a putt that simply kept rolling…..and rolling…and rolling. It shows how dangerous the greens are at Oakmont.
It’s hard enough as is without the U.S. Open conditions. So, with golf second major approaching, you and I can only visulaize how difficult the course will be.
It’s a dream course to experience for most golfers. But those dreams can possibly turn into a nightmare…..even on Twitter!

Nick Faldo is a hall of famer and is a three time Masters champion. He decided to flex the ol’ putting muscles by hitting this incredible putt while doing an awesome celebration.
Faldo is famous for his comeback against Greg Norman at the 1996 Masters. He’s also arguably the most popular golf broadcaster in the world, as he surpassed Johnny Miller as top golf TV analyst.
While Faldo was having fun, Ernie Els, another hall of famer wasn’t having such a great time. Incredibly, Els had seven putts on the first hole at Augusta National, marking it as the worst start in Masters history.
Rickie Fowler also got attacked by the “Augusta Monster” as he finished tied for 83th after the first round. Just shows you that, Thursday at the Masters is a rollercoaster.
We’ll see who’s reeling in the fish like Faldo when the weekend comes.

When you hit your tee shot farther than one of golf’s biggest hitters, you can help but pose and that’s what Jason Dufner did after hitting his past Rickie Fowler at the WGC Dell Match Play.
Dufner did a short flex while walking to his ball, to taunt Folwer. Can’t blame him when when he outdrove Fowler, who ranks 29th in driving distance while Dufner himself, ranks 90th.
Dufner has always been one of those guys who plays it cool, has a swagger and is quietly hilarious. He’s also better at golf than you or me so he has that going for him too.

Rickie Fowler has started to blossom as a player and is arguably one of the most likeable players in golf. During a pro-am tournament at Old Palm Golf Club, Fowler nailed an ace that made some history.
On a 19th hole at the course, players tried their hand at getting a hole-in-one to raise $1 million for the Ernie Els for Autism Foundation. Fowler got the ace and the surrounding crowd charged to him with excitement, knowing the importance of the shot.
Fowler even changed into gym shoes and used Luke Donald’s club for the feat:

There are some things that are bigger than golf, bigger than major championships and shiny awards. This, most definitely was more important than any of those things.
Congratulations to Fowler, Els and Els for Autism Foundation for this huge win.

That’s right, Rickie Fowler nailed a 79-foot putt during the Shriners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
It looked like he dunked it and very well could’ve exploded past the hole if he missed. Take a look below.

Did you see that backswing? It almost looked like he was going for a full swing for a minute.
Rickie hopes to include himself as part of the new bg three on the PGA Tour of Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day. If he hits shots like that, don’t be surprised to see him in some more winner’d circles this season.

Golf has had its share of characters over the years and this generation is no exception. Rickie Fowler, who has won three times this season and Danny Lee, who has one once this year and has placed high in numurous events this year are both pranking each other at the Tour Championship.
Rickie started the duel with the tinkering of Danny’s “reserved parking” sign at East Lake. He wrote “Find Danny a girl” with hearts on top of his name.

That was pretty ice cold. But Slick Rick wasn’t done quite yet.
But DL did manage to get some revenge. He was however caught doing so thanks to the ninja camera of Zach Klein of WSB TV in Atlanta. Oops. Nonetheless, still got the job done like he did when he won the Greenbrier Classic a couple of months ago.

The PGA Tour caught up with Rickie on the prankster fun:

I’m no Cardinals fan, I’m a proud White Sox fan but that hat he’s rocking is straight ballin’. But two bright young stars duking it out on and off the course? That’s just priceless.
Don’t be shocked if this isn’t the end of the Rickie and Danny saga!

There’s skill, then there’s luck. That’s what happened during the Thursday round of the BMW Championship at Conway Farms.
Rickie Fowler was on Conway’s 16th hole, when his approach landed and bounced off Jordan Spieth’s ball and ended up landing near the cup. The ball seemed as if it was going go way too far but then Rickie was able to have a sigh of relief after the ball did what it did.
Check out the crazy shot below!
Rickie Fowler just got the best break you’ll see today. http://t.co/OAILAT0mBm

That’s nuts. Ricochets have happened before but considering the kind of approach Rickie had made it more interesting. This happened just 14 holes after Jordan got an ace on the par-3 second hole at Conway. It’s all crazy I tell ya!
“Be enough.” Exactly enough. A hole-in-one for Jordan Spieth. http://t.co/8u47r7Gd2k

Yup. All crazy!

So, there was this. Rickie Fowler came close to a hole in one on a par 4 at Chambers Bay. REAL close.
Had Slick Rick made the shot, it would have been the first par 4 ace in U.S. Open. Ballin’ deadeye!
Here’s a video of the amazing shot on the Darth Vador like green!
— SB Nation (@SBNation) June 19, 2015
Rickie ended up missing the cut so it just shows, that even when you’re not playing well, you can have that one great shot and on the Chambers Bay greens, that’s am achievement!
The way the balls are bouncing on the greens like a Charlie Haeger knuckleball, who knows if or when we see another shot like that this weekend!

This year’s Players Championship was one of the best, if not, THE best that has ever been played. Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia and Kevin Kissner went into a playoff.
Garcia hit an incredible 44 foot putt to get into the playoff and Kissner was playing some amazing golf all day. Fowler pretty much made a mockery of “Florida’s Amen Corner” of 16, 17 and 18 to win it.
He had three birdies on TPC Sawgrass’ iconic 17th hole. Most golfers usually be lucky to come out of 17 with a freakin’ par.
This is why it’s such a famous hole. All of the heartbreak and torture it presented to some of the world’s greatest players over the years.
Time and time again, the 17th hole has swallowed golf balls in the water or have left golfers with long, tricky putts. Rickie just got through 17 like a straight up boss.
Here’s the jaw-dropping shot Slick Rick hit that sealed the deal for his second career PGA Tour title:
What’s so amazing about Rickie’s win is that not only did he demolish one of golf’s toughest courses, but he and Ian Poulter were voted as golf’s most “overrated players” according to a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated.
The voting was by anonymous peers on Tour. So, just a couple of days after that poll, Rickie goes on to win golf’s “5th major” and the signature tournament of the PGA Tour on its signature course.
The win also came a couple of days after golf course designing legend, Pete Dye was seen watching the tournament on his famed course. With that shadow over him, Rickie practically made a fool of Pete’s diabolical 16, 17 and 18, again finishing out by going back to 17 to win it.
There’s no better way to win a golf tournament than at the 17th hole of TPC Sawgrass, under the sunset and with thousands of fans surrounding you at every turn.
With this win, he’s proven why he’s still relevant on Tour and that he is indeed one of the bright young stars int he game.
The homie’s playing a game but he ain’t playin’ though!
Be sure to follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! Will definitely be talking about the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay as it slowly approaches as well as my typical golf video game chatter!

If you missed it, Bubba Watson won the WGC-HSBC Championship on Sunday. However, he didn’t just win it. He won it in dramatic fashion as he first holed out from a bunker to go into a playoff and THEN he sinks a long birdie putt to win it. Check out the videos below!
Now THAT is what you call “Bubba Golf”! That five with Rickie was pretty cool too!
