Hello all, surprise! Didn’t think I was going to write while I’m on my “Vacay” (Vacation) in Alabama? Then guess again because I got a shorty for you here in regards to the interesting names in the top five on the leaderboard at the PGA Championship. Jason Dufner is your leader at 9- for the tournament and is playing like the Duf everyone predicted to be a true threat on the PGA Tour this year. He was my preseason pick to win the Masters a while back even because the solid season he had a year ago made him much more attractive and respectful of the media in golf. Duf is already a very popular player among the Twitter world with well over 100 thousand followers. The thing that’s really helped Jason Dufner the fist couple of days is his incredible ability to hit the greens in regulations with such ease and if that’s not important then I don’t know what is. It’s his tournament to lose honestly because who else hits the greens like Duf? The one thing that will come back to get him is his putting ability and it’s very difficult to win a major if you can’t putt but if he can get some really good approach shots which he’s capable of then he’ll be in great shape.
The one guy that could come back and destroy him is Matt Kuchar who is 7- and we know how much of a monster he’s been this year and would like nothing else better then to get his first major championship under his belt. Matt could beat you in so many different shapes and forms and that’s what makes him dangerous so Jason better be ready for what’s ahead, not to mention you have two guys in the top five that one majors this year, those guys being Justin Rose and Adam Scott not to mention you have Jim Furyk who was the leader at first, who’s still playing terrific golf, being vintage Furyk. So, just look at these names and think of them as the “Fab Five” or at least for now because I’m sure the leaderboard will be bouncing around if ti isn’t already. Great golf is on the way!
