Amateur golfer lands prom date with Holly Sonders

Andrew Orishack, a very talented amateur golfer who hails from Hilton Head, SC, (The mecca of golf in America I like to call it), had a great showing at the U.S. Junior Amateur. He had the lead by five shots but unfortunately collapsed towards the end to finish runner-up to Phillip Barabaree, another great amateur.

But what was Andrew’s reward for an overall great performance? A date with Fox Sports golf reporter Holly Sonders.

Huh?? How did that happen?!

Well, through his dad, Andrew had made a bet that if he won the U.S. amateur, then he would take Holly on a date to his senior prom next year. Although the 16-year-old didn’t win it, he still landed his dream date.

Andrew seems like He’s excited too of course:

And of course, there were already a couple of Twitter trolls talking trash. Jealousy’s a b*tch isn’t it Twitter?

Good for Andrew, who played some great golf over the weekend and classy move for Holly.

Although Andrew didn’t win, I’d say he did get an ace on the scorecard.

Follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! I’ll be looking forward to the PGA Championship at Pete “Dyeabolical” Dye’s Whistling Straits!

And yes, I’m still heavy duty on the golf video games! May see about recording a live stream, playing Straits on Rory McIilroy PGA Tour in a couple of weeks here so stay tuned to Twitter for that!

Holly Sonders, No Longer With Golf Channel, Moves to Fox Sports

Golf journalism superstar Holly Sonders has turned down a contract extension with Golf Channel to join Fox Sports according to GolfWeek. It is expected that she would be a part of Fox Sports new USGA coverage as well as doing some reporting on NFL Sundays. Ever since joining the popular Morning Drive show back in 2011, she became a very popular figure on Golf Channel. She’s reached over 100,000 Twitter followers making her one of the most followed golf journalists on the social media site.

“we didn’t come to terms,” according to a spokesman.

“We wish her the best in her future endeavors,” he said, declining further comment according to

She has been a pressence on NBC’s popular golf network because of her looks as well as her ability to play the game which she showcases in such shows as “Playing Lessons With The Pros” and “School of Golf”.

So who’ll replace her? It’s anybody’s guess at this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if Golf Channel is scrambling for another woman to replace Sonders. Kelly Tilghman, who is extremely versatile might even be a possibility as dudes do love her looks too although she has a “boyish” voice.

Funny Photo: Is This Caddy Staring at Holly Sonders’ Butt While She Lines Up Her Putt?

What’s good y’all? I hope you enjoyed my awesome rhyme in the headline! I couldn’t help but grab this picture of Golf Channel broadcasting superstar Holly Sonders at the Humana Challenge as it looks like her caddy is staring at the one place where i think most dudes would stare…well…her booty. She was lining up her putt when this occurred and as we know, Holly was a pretty good golfer and still is solid. Now, I;m pretty sure he’s probably just looking at her slope on the green and helping her prepare for putt, but it just looks funny from the camera angle as it literally almost looks like he’s staring at the golf journalist’s booty butt. I also can’t help but laugh at his facial expression, quite funny considering what the picture looks like. Again, it’s more than likely he was just doing his job but it just looks like he’s like “Oh, DAT BOOTY!”. Holly, you’re very talented and I really respect your work but I thought this was too funny. Think they’ll get a little kick out of this?

In the last few weeks, Golf magazine highlighted some of the most beautiful women in golf and it’s great that the ladies of golf are getting much attention. Some of these ladies are golfers, some are journalists and some are….both. The great folks at Golf magazine did a great job putting together some nice screenshots of these golf beauties that I’m sure the dudes will enjoy. Women for the most part have been over looked in golf due to the ever evolving attention and talent on the male tour but we have seen some great golf on the LPGA Tour as well and a prime example was how dominate Inbee Park has been and for good reason, won the Rolex Player of the Year award. Her performance gave me goosebumps because the dominance was beyond real. For her to nearly get a grand slam is just ridiculous in a good way and with some of the best journalists in the business being females, there’s no doubt that the women will always have a big slice of glory pie. So, here are some of’s most beautiful women from the last few weeks (Note: The links are below by clicking on their names):

My four most beautiful women in golf:

So that’s that! Who do YOU think are the most beautiful women in golf? Ladies can get in on this too! It’s not a question I’m asking in a sense of “Oh, which one would you marry?” it’s just a general who do you think is the most beautiful question. So feel free to write them down in the comments below and thanks again to for the slideshows!
