We’ve seen some amazing shots in golf but what happened at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic was legendary as Ha Na Jang hit the first Albatross in LPGA Tour history over the weekend.
On a driveable par-4, Jang pulled out a 3-wood and went to work. The ball soared in the air and rolled straight to cup like a heat seeking missle and her celebration was priceless as she kissed the green.
Jang may have hit the first albatross in the history of both the PGA and LPGA Tour. The only other player to do so was Andrew Magee of the PGA Tour, when he holed out on the 17th at TPC Scottsdale.
Problem was that when Magee got his, the ball ricocheted off of Tom Byrum’s putter and rolled in. It still counts but Jang’s was the first ever without any interference.
Although Jang didn’t win (Hyo-Joo Kim won), she hit a shot for the ages.
Be sure to follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! I’ll never get an Albatross (Or a birdie) but I hope I nail an Albatross with your heart when it comes to golf writing!
