Golf is the most versatile sport in the world as there are numerous ways we can play and enjoy it. The Sci-Core practice golf balls by Swing Coach help open the door to a world of possibilities where you don’t have to limit yourself to just the driving range.
Immediately, what I liked about the Sci-Core balls is the beautiful orange color which makes it easy to identify your ball when practicing around. Plus, it is the color of my alma mater, the Illinois Media School (you knew that was coming if you follow me on Twitter).
After hitting some chips and pitches, I will say that it may be the best practice ball that I’ve used. The rubbery outside of the ball is smooth, and bounces off the club face beautifully.
It’s also a solid enough ball to where you can get some actual ball flight without having the fear of breaking something such as windows. You still want to be careful, but the soft rubber skin of the ball takes some of the worries out of your practice session, wherever you are.
One of things that I’ve written about in the past is Urban Golf or Street Golf which is the playing of the sport in the streets. The Sci-Core balls are excellent for this fun variation of the sport as well, and due to its unique orange colors, make it visible in any weather condiditon.
Not only are the balls great for irons and woods, but it is also fun on the greens as well. The balls roll nicely after striking with a putter, and it feels light off the face.
The lightness is helpful because it may help you improve your touch with the sniper stick (putter). You’ll know not to hit the ball as hard on putts, so when you go back to using your regular ball, then you’ll be able to judge the power of your putts better.
Overall, the Sci-Core golf balls are fantastic, and if you’re someone like me who enjoys practicing golf wherever possible, then these golf balls are among the best in the sport today.

We expect a lot of our golf balls whether it’s during a practice session or on the course, we always want to try and play our best even though we might suck. Having tried the OnCore Elixr golf balls, I can tell you that these are instantly one of the best all-around balls in the sport today.
What I mean is that it is solid in all areas of play, whether it be power, or around the greens. I was especially impressed with how the ball reacted on short game shots.
The unique weighting of the ball allows it to roll beautifully on the green after hitting a chip or pitch shot. Judge your power correctly and more than likely, you’ll leave yourself with a short putt.
The feel off the clubface is one of the most unique that you’ll feel. It’s not soft but not hard either, it feels very light off the clubface and that’s a good thing.
I say that because, sometimes we’ll over think a shot, and focus so heavily on squaring that clubface perfectly at impact. The unique feel of the Elixr may give you a little boost of confidence and comfort as the ball makes you not have to worry about it.
Your goal is to focus on the swing and let the ball go to work. That’s a reason why the Elixr is such a fun ball to use. It kind of changes the way you think about golf balls.
It’s an excellent ball for putting as well. The Elixr’s rolling doesn’t require you to put as much impact on the follow-through of your stroke.
The alignment tool on the ball is one of the very best out there. It’s big and bold and does a good job of helping you line up those tricky putts.
Although the ball is more noted for its power and touch around the greens, the feel off the putter face is phenomenal. As great as it is on chips and pitches, it’s just as great on the greens when putting.
Overall, the OnCore Elixr is one of the most versatile golf balls in the game today. It was a treat to test out and there’s no doubt that many other golfers will appreciate it, as it rises up the ranks of the elite.

The golf ball market has become a giant, with millions of dollars spent on golf balls each year. There are a ton of exciting new brands that continue to pop up across the golf landscape, and one of those is Snell.
Snell is a brand that has continued to grow in popularity since it started in 2015. Dean Snell, the company’s Founder, is no stranger when it comes to high-quality golf balls, as he is the co-inventor of the iconic Pro V1 golf balls by Titleist.
The goal of Snell is simple, and that’s to create a professional quality golf ball for amateurs to use for a great price.
I had a chance to try out the “My Tour Ball” at my home course of Randall Oaks, and will immediately say that it’s one of the best golf balls out there. It’s especially impressive around the greens on the chip and pitch shots.
It doesn’t roll hard, and when you hit a clean shot, it’ll plant itself where you want it. Almost like a heat-seeking missile. It feels great from the tee as well, because when you hit a good shot, you know it, and the Snell ball gives you a boost of confidence on the next shot.
It’s one of the softest golf balls in the sport, making you an instant threat to hit it close from right off the greens. As we know, short game is crucial to the success of anyone’s game, and the Snell balls are tops in this area.
On the green, the ball rolls smoothly, and bounces off the club face beautifully. The perfect align tool on the ball definitely helps you drop some putts.
All in all, the Snell My Tour Ball is the secret weapon in golf ball technology. It’s one of the best balls you’ll play with, and at an affordable price which is refreshing in a sport noted for expensive equipment.
Finally, one of the nice things about the Snell brand is that they do a good job of appealing to the generation of golfers. These aren’t the golf balls of yesteryear, they’re the balls of the future.

Vice Golf is a young brand based out in Germany. In its short time, it has already received awards for their golf balls.
So I had the opportunity to give these balls a try. One thing I’ve learned is that the best way to test a golf ball is by hitting some shots around the greens, so that’s what I did.
There are many great golf balls to choose from with Vice. These include Vice Drive, Vice Tour, Vice Neon and the award winning Vice Pro and Vice Pro Plus.
I will say neither of these golf balls disappointed. Let me little evaluation of each ball.
Vice Drive – One thing I found out with Drive is that it’s very strong on medium ranged chip shots. One shot I hit went in the hole and another stopped right at the edge!
Also learned that it’s very solid out of taller grass as well and does a good job of stopping on a dime (Well, that’s impossible but close enough!). Drive was a nice ball to use.
Vice Tour – Tour was a terrific short range ball. Time after time, it was landing near the hole, one time rolling in and this was on a slope that curved hard to the right.
What makes this so important is that it’s so easy to hit a short chip too hard or even too soft. You got to have the right amount of power.
Tour is your best friend in these situations. Tour is also a great flop shot ball having just the right amount of spin on the landing.
Vice Neon – Neon will definitely stand out amongst the crowd and may definitely win the Vice Golf swag contest with its green color. But Neon is more than just eye candy, it’s also a great golf ball.
I hit some of my best shots with Neon. It’s has terrific spin, is great on chips and pitch and is a nice ball with the putter.
I made at least two putts from 25+ feet out. This while on a slope that also broke well right.
Just an impressive golf ball that’ll also turn heads at the course.
Vice Pro – One of the award winning balls, the Vice Pro lives up to its reputation. An all-around beast of a golf ball.
You name it. Great spin, great on chips, pitches and flops and is great with the flat stick. Although I didn’t make any long putts with Pro like I did with Neon, I came very close on some long putts that were sloping from left to right.
I definitely know why it’s an award winner now!
Vice Pro Plus – Similar to the Pro, Pro Plus is also a beast. An all-around machine of a golf ball.
Pretty much everything I said about Pro, is the same for Pro Plus. Both of these golf balls are two of the best I’ve used in eight years of being a golf enthusiast (Yeah I know, that’s not that long but I’m a young dude, what can I say?!).
With the Pro Plus, I even made a couple of medium ranged putts that I’d normally miss. The ball is also amazing out of the tall grass, much like Drive but maybe even better!
Without a doubt, Pro and Pro Plus are for sure “Pro” caliber golf balls. They are no joke (Besides the jokes being told when you smoke your buddies around the greens).
So Vice Golf have most certainly proven that they can produce high quality golf balls. I also love the style and approach they have to the game.
If you get yourself a box of their golf balls, you’ll see that it’s not your grandfather’s golf ball boxes. Usually, you may just ignore the boxes but the artistic style of them is unlike any others you’ll see.
Visit their website and you’ll see and feel the unique style that they’re trying to bring. It’s an extremely refreshing approach to golf which as we know can be real dull at times with so many purists not willing to think outside the box.
They also have some “swagtastic” hats available as well including some new, fresh colors such as Wine and Mint. Among others, they also have the unique Scotland hat which has a giant X on it, representing the Scottish flag.
Just an awesome brand with a fresh take on golf. If you’re a swag geek like me and also love golf, you have to check these guys out.
You can visit ViceGolf.com for more details on their golf balls and hats. Just a great new company that I think you’ll enjoy.
Welcome to the next generation of golf!
