After falling short in last year’s Masters to Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth got his revenge and with impressive fashion. Spieth conquered the field and Augusta National, going wire to wire for the victory, the first player to do so sine Raymond Floyd did in 1976.
In Masters tournament that featured a historic leadeerboard towards the top that included Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy, Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose, there was no real threat to Spieth. The only players that had a great shot catching Spieth were Charley Hoffman for the first two days, and Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson on the last two days.
Spieth finished tying the Masters record of 18- breaking Tiger Woods’ record that was set back in 1997. A big shot came for Spieth when he had a beautiful recovery chip shot on the famed 11th hole which set him up for a tap in par save.
Another important shot was the key par putt he hit on hole 16 which practically sealed the deal for the 21-year old. Justin Rose came out of nowhere to make things interesting but his some unfortunate shots and Spieth took advantage of the opportunity.
Spieth’s recovery ability and putting is what pretty much won the Green Jacket for him. He has quickly established himself as one of the better recovery players and one of the best finishers in golf.
Among those who finished towards the top, Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson finished 14- in a tie for third, Rory Mcilroy, who had a lot of hype going into this one, finished in fourth at 12- and young talent Hedeki Matsuyama finished in fifth at 11-. Rounding out the top 10 were Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Charley Hoffman and 2007 Masters champion Zach Johnson.
Spieth has become the second youngest player to win the Masters.
So Jordan Spieth is your 2015 Masters champion.

On Saturday’s round, although Jordan Spieth was still on fire, the leaderboard was packed with big time names. One of them? None other than Tiger Woods who played very well on Saturday.
However, he also a bad tee shot on Augusta’s famed and tricky 13th hole. This lead to some strong language from the golf legend.
Here’s a Vine of the tee shot:
Now, here’s the Vine of the swearing, if you have children present, tell them that bad words are about to be spoken and have them scurry to their rooms:
Now, this next Vine is of vintage Tiger Woods. Remember the world famous fist pump? Well, here it is again:
Although Tiger played well on Saturday, I still think he has zero chance to win this thing unless Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson or Charley Hoffman collapse. Among the other monster names on the leaderboard include the aforementioned Phil Mickelson, Rory Mcilroy, Dustin Johnson, Paul Casey Justin Rose and Kevin Streelman.
None of these gentlemen have a legitimate chance except for Phil and Charley but what a fun Saturday it was with so many players playing so well.
This should be a historic Masters Sunday and I know you’re just as excited as I am.
Now, speaking of a happy Tiger, do you remember those Gatorade Tiger drinks with a fist pumping Tiger on it? Yeah, those were really good.
