Tiger Woods cheated on Lindsey Vonn with Amanda Dufner, apparently not true

image

Remember when we learned that Tiger Woods cheated on Lindsey Vonn? Well, it turns out he was cheating on her with Amanda Boyd, 2013 PGA Championship winner and fan favorite Jason Dufner’s ex-wife.

Amanda gained fame after Jason’s 2013 PGA victory where he was seen tapping her booty when they hugged. Many saw her as totally en fuego (Basically many thought she was hot) and she used Instagram as kinda her weapon of attraction and worked as many dudes looked at her bikini pictures.

According to USA Today’s The Big LeadTiger and Amanda had a “steamy” Louisiana Hot Sauce kind of relationship. Amanda also apparently was flirting with many other PGA TOUR pros as well.

Despite all of this, Tiger’s agent Mark Steinberg has came out and said that everything was a complete “lie” and Tiger never had an affair with Amanda.

If that’s the case then that’s a good thing for Tiger who already has his own problems…..on the course. Off the course, I think ol’ Tiger is doing juu$$$$t fine (See what I did there?) !

Donald Trump dislikes FootGolf, will host it at his own course

Donald Trump had some choice words for the hit new sport of FootGolf a short while back when he said the following:

“We’re bringing the game down with these 15-inch holes and ‘let’s play soccer golf,’” Trump said according to Golf.com. “Golf should be an aspirational game. We should keep it a high level and not bring it down because a group of people want to sell some more golf clubs or golf balls.”

OK Mr. Trump soooo you dislike FootGolf or “Soccer Golf” but you’re going to have an event for it at one of your courses? This is Donald Trump we’re talking about here. Usually when he says stuff, it seems like he means it. Well, I wonder who or what convinced him. For those of you that don’t know what FootGolf is, it’s like traditional golf except you’re kicking a soccer ball and aiming for a larger hole.

Here’s a tweet for the event for those of you who may be interested:

I totally disagree with Trump on his comment by the way. If you really want to grow the sport, you have to try different things and I think FootGolf is great for the game.

It’ll take more than just lowering prices and offering less holes to play. Yes, those would help but you need to do more. Mind you that I think golf is still in solid shape but it doesn’t hurt to make it grow into a world sport power and FootGolf contributes to this.

So what do you think of Trump’s changed feelings on FootGolf? What’s your thoughts on FootGolf as a whole? Leave your comments and don’t forget to subscribe for more great golf stories! I’m also @ChiGolfRadio on Twitter!

Rory Mcilroy Says Breakup With Wozniacki a Big Part of His Success

rory-mcilroy-caroline-wozniacki-1

In a previous article, I said that Rory breaking up with Caroline Wozniacki has helped him out. Sure enough, he came out and said it himself according to the Daily Mail in the UK.

‘I think what happened has been for the better in terms of my golf, Rory said.

‘I’ve put a bit more time into it and it has refocused me. I mean, what else do I have to do now?

See there. A relationship CAN get in the way of your career. Especially if your lover is almost as busy as you are. It’s a lot of thinking and then they were talking about marriage?

Heck yeah that was a distraction! Nothing wrong with love, but it just all depends on what kind of relationship you’re in *In Dr.Phil voice*.

If you’re in one at that young of an age and you guys are both very busy people then it kills you mentally because he/she is always on your mind. Talking about getting married certainly didn’t help either. Some may deny it because they may be in good working relationships.

However, it’s mighty funny how Rory was playing like Bubba Watson when he still had a clothing line at Steve & Barry’s (Oh, how I miss you!) and play like a golf great after.

Rory did say previously though that the relationship had nothing to do with his struggles.

You can see that video below.

It’s pretty obvious why he said that. He didn’t want to get in hot water with Caroline so it’s very understandable. You could say “Heck yeah, that girl got me going crazy! Hitting my balls all sideways and crap!”

but then the relationship would have been over right there and then. Then Caroline would call him and be like Hawk Harrelson: “Rory, this relationship is OVAAAA!”.

This lesson Rory learned just turned him back into the Rory we were hoping he would be and it’s great to see. Maybe Rory should have relationships with women and break up with them more often because he is on firrree! RORYSHAKALAKA!

Leave your comments golf friend! I’d LOVE to hear them! Before Rory said it himself, did you think the relationship effected his game? You can also follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio!

John Daly Says He Wants to Help Dustin Johnson With Drug Issues

AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am - Round One

Dustin Johnson has been going through a lot of drug issues lately and what better man to help you with your problems than John Daly? According to TMZ Sports, the two-time major champion (With the loud colorful pants might I add) has said that he wants to help DJ get through this tough time. John has had some well documented issues himself in the past whether it was his drinking addiction or his gambling issues, John knows that feel bro.

“I texted Dustin a few days ago and told him how much I love him. He’s talented … he’s the future of golf.” JD told TMZ Sports.

Dustin is indeed part of the “futures of the game” along with several others such as Rickie Fowler, Jimmy Walker, and the monster name of Rory Mcilroy. Dustin does the one thing that still makes people think golf is cool, and that is hit long drives. He and Bubba Watson have been kind of back and forth as to who is the king of the long drive on tour. A few years back, you had several guys who hit major tee shots such as J.B. Holmes and Luke List. Nicolas Colsaerts is another long driver today but plays mostly on the European Tour.

With John Daly trying to help, I think it’s a good thing because he’s been through the same thing. Not saying you have to go through addictions to help someone with addictions but they may relate more to the situation. One thing about John Daly, he’s had issues in the past but he never seemed like a bad “person”. He seems like he’s always cool with everyone, he just had his own problems. If you aren’t a total d-bag, chances are that that will be better help for you. Dustin Johnson #TheReturn

Charles Barkley on Tiger Woods: “We aren’t Friends Anymore.”

bdd9652fa87eaa32da7498c5958e4997

Charles Barkley has been hovering around the golf world lately as he sometimes does with his world famous (And ugly) golf swing. First, within the last couple of weeks, the Round Mound of Rebound was seen hitting a tee shot one-handed which actually looked better than his traditional swing. Now, he told Mike Missanlei of 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly that he and Tiger Woods “aren’t friends anymore”. Charles has made many friends throughout his career both as a terrific basketball player and his current gig as a broadcaster and Tiger Woods has been one of those good friends ever since he got into the sport of golf. The big reason for this broken friendship is because Charles believes that Tiger hasn’t been social enough and thinks he focuses too much of his energy on golf and Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major titles.

“I think that when you’re as great as he has been, and this probably is a negative at some point, like he was so consumed with being the greatest golfer ever, he wasn’t a very sociable guy. Even when was a friend of mine, he wasn’t a very sociable guy. He just had a one-track mind. He just wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record.” Sir Charles said according to the Washington Post

“Golf is just a game,” Barkley said. “Your life don’t stink … But I think when you put yourself in that situation where your whole life revolves around how you’re doing on a golf course, you’re gonna develop a negative attitude to a certain degree, instead of saying, ‘I’ve actually got it pretty good.’ It’s like people who say I never won a championship. I understand that. I accept that. But it ain’t like I’m sitting around saying, ‘Oh my God, my life stinks. This is so miserable.’ ”

Some very interesting words from the basketball legend. Personally, I’m not totally an outgoing guy. I don’t drink or anything at all. however, I will talk to people and have good conversations depending on the topic. Like, I can talk sports all day and I can talk about hip hop a good deal as well. If I’m talking about those things then you probably would think I’m an outgoing, expressive personality but I’m not totally outgoing and I’m at best, unpredictable but am also quite chill. From what I can tell with Tiger, he apparently is too focused to talk anything else but golf and I guess he’s been stressing out over breaking Jack’s record. I could talk golf all day, but I’m not going to stress because I’ll likely never win a Pulitzer Prize for my goofy style of writing.

There’s no doubt that Tiger’s life is one that most people dream of and he should be appreciative of that. I understand he wants the record but sometimes you have to kick back, put a smile on, and be thankful where you are in life and Tiger isn’t even 40 yet. Tiger has to realize that even if he never reaches 18, his legacy is still saved. Some will say he’s better than Jack was despite being four majors short of the goal. He doesn’t need to loosen up, or get expressive or anything like that because not everyone is like that BUT there’s no reason to stress over the terrific life you have and the unbelievable legacy you already have. As long as you love what you do, nothing else should matter, even if you feel like you never reached the goal that you wanted. After all, what’s the point of living miserably when everything is so beautiful? Legacy is great, but can never overtake passion. Jot that down in your notes kids!

Phil Mickelson on FBI Reports: “I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.”

phil

According to the Associated Press, Phil Mickelson confirmed that FBI agents that were investigating insider trading approached him at Jack Nicklaus’ famed Memorial Tournament this week in regards to possible insider trading between he, gambler Billy Walters and billionaire investor Carl Icahn. The hall of famer who’s racked up several wins and five major titles has come out and said that he has done “absolutely nothing wrong” according to the Press. The insider trades involved Clorox Co. and the FBI was also looking at some potential trades made through Dean’s Co. as well but the main focus is what happened with Clorox. Ichan is one of the wealthiest people in America with a whopping net worth of $20 billion in due to him buying out underperforming companies to make a massive amount of money and some those companies included eBay, Dell and Apple. He is the 18th wealthiest person in America according to the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, Walters is an icon is the sports betting community as he has made a ridiculous amount of money off of betting which led to him owning several golf courses and auto dealerships. He’s bet millions upon millions on Super Bowls alone and claims that he hasn’t had a losing season. He won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am along with Fredrik Jacobson back in 2008 as he’s supposed to be a pretty good golfer. He’s also made connections with many celebrities and other PGA Tour pros where they’ve played golf together. Walters has a massive net worth of $125 million and that has continued to grow with all of the golf courses and dealerships he’s making money off of to go along with the money he’s making from all of the betting.

Phil mentions that this situation won’t stop him in his pursuit at winning the U.S. Open which would give him the rare and coveted career grand slam.

“It’s not going to change the way I carry myself,” Mickelson said according to the AP. “Honestly, I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m not going to walk around any other way.

Here’s a video of Phil on the situation. Skip to 2:18 to hear him speak. This courtesy of the fine folks of GolfChannel.com

WATCH: Rick Reilly Rips Tiger Woods About Being “Cheap”

Rick Reilly is one of the most legendary, wealthiest and successful sportswriters  and he’s also been critical as well and he did just that about Tiger Woods’ bad tipping. He was on Conan to talk about it.

“I’ve covered [Michael Jordan] his whole career, but I don’t think he can hold a candle to Tiger Woods. You need a court order to get Tiger’s wallet open. It’s unbelievable. He’s always like, ‘I don’t carry cash.’ I know a valet here in town that stands between Tiger and his car just to get his $2. He’s really terrible. I’ve seen Phil Mickelson buy a 50-cent cup of a lemonade from a little girl and give her $100. When he leaves the Masters each year, he gives the guys $2,500. Tiger gives them nothing. I was with Phil once, and it was raining. He sees a homeless guy, and he gets out, parks his car and gets out his umbrella to give to the guy. Tiger would charge the guy!”

play the video at 3:53 to hear the thought.

Someone with Tiger’s money should be tipping and this isn’t a new thing as Tiger was known for being kind of cheap when he wouldn’t let his then wife Elin Nordegren leave a tip at a restaurant a few years back. Who wouldn’t leave a tip with that kind of money?

WATCH: Golf Course Uses Bikes Instead of Carts to Carry Clubs

You don’t see this everyday. A golf club in Arizona (Yes ARIZONA) decided that it was a good idea to use bikes instead of golf carts to carry golfers’ clubs and although I think it’s a cool idea, it just had to be in the country’s hottest state. I sure wouldn’t last in that heat! Especially being from Chicago (Chilaska) where it’s always freezing although we do get some hot summers at times. Check out the video below with my girl Amanda Balionis of PGATour.com where she talks about this and other topics as well on her Trending on Tour series.

Pretty cool huh? Now, if they just had some cool three wheel bikes with sweet rims and a mini radio then that would be cool (Sunglasses sold separately).

WATCH: Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson , Dustin Johnson All Tee it Up With Wrong Hands on TPC Sawgrass’ Hole 17

(From left to right) Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson. Courtesy of Devil Ball Golf

This is pretty awesome and makes a lot of jealous I’m sure. Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson all hit tee shots with their non-dominant hands on Pete Dye’s TPC Sawgrass’ legendary 17th hole, arguably the most famous par-3 in the world. Heck, a lot of us suck with our dominant hand so how in the world did these guys do it? Well, Phil Mickelson is really right-handed but was comfortable swinging the club left-handed and the Lefty legend was born. This is much like when Michelle Wie did the same thing during a practice session. Hey, I guess these guys (and girls) really are good! Shout out to my boy Shane Bacon of Devil Ball Golf and Nicole Conlan of SI.com’s Extra Mustard for sharing!

Here’s the crowd’s reaction after Rickie’s shot
