Tiger Woods injuries and time away from the golf course has taken a toll on him. Woods was arrested Monday morning for driving under the influence near his restaurant in Jupiter, FLA.
It’s amazing how titans in many professionals in the world fall from grace and Tiger Woods has been a tough story to follow. The 14-time major champion was arrested Monday morning at around 3am in Jupiter, FLA which is where Woods’ currently resides.
He was near his restaurant “The Woods Jupiter” when the DUI occurred. He was released from police custody at around 11am.
It’s just another blow in the twisting downward spiral of Woods’ late career struggles. At first it seemed like he was on his way to breaking Jack Nicklaus’ major record and shattering the PGA Tour wins record held by Sam Snead.
Now, the legendary golfer is having a hard time staying afloat after dealing with multiple injuries. His struggles have also effected his life off the course, with this DUI being another example.
It seemed that after the 2009 sex scandal that shocked the world, Woods was done for. However, he made a great comeback, winning five times in 2012, including The PLAYERS Championship.
Soon after, as if the scandal was waived as a reason for his struggles after his terrific 2012 campaign, injuries came back to haunt him. Now, he’s sidelined once again for the rest of the season and no doubt it’s taking a toll on him.
Although he’s one of the richest people on earth, living a life that a lot of us can only dream of, being away from the thing that you love, the thing that made your life so complete, can leave a scar. That seems like the case with Woods right now.
