Ahh, the great sport of golf. So amazing, so beautiful..so…..odd? That was the best way to describe what happened during the first round of the Zurich Classic.
Chris Stroud hit arguably the strangest putt you’ll see all year. However, it wasn’t even the putt that was weird, it was the lucky break he got.
While in the greenside rough, the ball was apparently still moving. So Stroud waited, and as he did so, below happened.

It was certainly smart on team Chris Stroud/Brian Stuard’s part to wait it out. Lord knows that you or I would probably be ready to reach for that 9-iron or pitching wedge because that’s how us impatient millennials roll.
So keep your eyes peeled on that wondrous white ball. Because you never know if it’ll play tricks on you.
