REVIEW: Best Grips bring style and unique feel to golf

Best Grips is the name of the company that makes grips that feature terrific design combined with great feel. They are able to back up their name, as the grips really are good on the hands.

Featuring a leather design, the traction is different from other grips and is effective on the swing. The grip you see pictured is the “Augusta” design and as you can see, with the green leather and yellow stitching, it reminds you of The Masters and famed Augusta National.

Heading to the range, trying the grip for the first time, I was impressed with how it felt with and without a glove. One thing I noticed immediately was, after hitting several balls, I had no blisters (I wasn’t wearing a glove at the time).

This is a major plus for those who may feel a glove could be too “heavy” or “thick” on their hand, making things a little uncomfortable. If you fancy no gloves, this is a very solid grip.

If you do wear a glove, it’s just as good. The stitching on the back really make an impact on the grip and this is a plus for glove wearers.

Without the stitching, the club may be harder to hold on to. It would be still be a solid, but just a little harder to hang on to.

So, not only does the stitching go beautifully with the design of the Augusta grip, it has an impact on keeping the grip in your hand. After all, we as lame golfers are prone to the slipping of clubs out of our hands, causing property damage.

Overall, the grip is great and if you appreciate artistic design, cool leather, and a unique feel, this is a fine grip. They even have grips made with pigskin (Their football grip) and another one with alligator skin.
