Ouch, sometimes golf is your best friend, but in a lot of cases, it can be your worst enemy, and this guy proved it.

He hit his ball as it ricocheted and hit the man in his shin. Probably the best thing about this clip is his reaction after being hit.

Most of us would start hobbling around right after the hit. This dude still followed through as if nothing had happened.

LOOK: The Old White TPC is covered in water

Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson lives on the property of the legendary Greenbrier golf course so he gets to see it a ton. Unfortunately, Greenbrier doesn’t look as beautiful as it normally does to to heavy rain that caused flooding of the course.

The Greenbrier Classic is scheduled for July 7th through the 10th. However, it looks like it could really take some time to clear the course up.

The Greenbrier is not only home to the famed Old White TPC, but is also home to the oldest course in America, Oakhurst Links. Let’s hope that things get cleared and hope everyone is safe and away from danger.

Here’s another eerie, yet beautiful photo of the scene, taken by Watson.

Rust-Oleum Championship: Interviews with the players

A few weeks back, I had the chance to go cover the Rust-Oleum Championship, a tournament on the Web.com Tour that takes place at Ivanhoe CC in Ivanhoe, IL. During the tournament, I had the chance to walk around and explore a bit of the beautiful course as well as inside of the clean and polished clubhouse.

I also had the chance to interview six of the players on the Tour, two of them were within the Top 25 and another was ranked 31st at the time. Anders Alberton, Bhavik Patel and Jonathan Randolph were these golfers.

Also had the chance to chat with Greg Eason, Andrew Yun and Denny McCarthy.

Here is the playlist of the interviews. Feel free to take a listen.

It was a fun tournament and I hope to get back again next year.

Rory McIlroy will not participate in the Olympics

Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy is just another star athlete who has decided not to participate in the Olympics. Like others, the reason for him not going to Rio is because of the Zika virus which has been a major issue.

Vijay Singh, Marc Lieshman and Adam Scott among others also dropped out. McIlroy is definitely the biggest blow so far.

“My health and my family’s health comes before everything else.” said McIlroy. “Even though the risk of infection from the Zika virus is considered low, it is a risk nonetheless and a risk I am unwilling to take,”

It has been over 100 years since golf has been in the Olympics. Now, with its return to the Games, it looks like it will be missing some key players for the event.

That said, golf isn’t the only sport where players are dropping like flies. NBA superstar LeBron James is the latest to say that he will likely miss the Olympics.

Despite the missing players in this year’s Olympics, it’s great to know that golf is back. It’s just horrible timing with the Zika virus and those dropping out are ultimately making the right decision.

Here’s hoping the Olympic Games in Japan in 2020 will be much better.

WATCH: Brandel Chamblee rips USGA officials on live TV

The USGA made what may be one of the most controversial calls in U.S. Open history on Sunday by giving Dustin Johnson a one-stroke penalty after a ball moved just a wee-little bit on one of the holes at Oakmont. They gave him his penalty after the round was over.

Twitter ended up ripping the USGA to shreds as well. This included star players such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler.

So, one of golf’s most critical TV analysts, Brandel Chamblee took on two USGA officials, Jeff Hall and Thomas Pagel right on set. Here’s part of the exchange.

“I’ve played golf for 40 years. I have never nor have I ever seen anybody make a practice stroke that caused ball to move,” Chamblee said. “Have y’all ever seen anybody make a practice stroke . . . and a ball move? Ever heard of it?”

Then, here’s this part of the exchange.

“And let me just get this straight. Y’all, upon looking at the evidence, thought he was likely to have caused it to move?”

“More likely than not,” Pagel responded.

“I’m sorry,” Chamblee retorted. “What about what he did do you think caused the ball to move? And why do you come to that conclusion?”

Chamblee has said things in his interesting broadcasting career that many fans disagreed with. This, is one certainly that a lot of golf fans will give him a golf clap for.

If the USGA continues on the path they’re on, could golf’s toughest major become the worst? Let me know about it on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio!

This new golf video game looks amazing

If you’re a golf fan who enjoys video games, you may be familiar with The Golf Club which is a popular game that released in 2014. In TGC, players were able to design their own courses, with some players even re-creating real world courses such as Augusta National, Pine Valley and St. Andrews.

Well, the folks over at HB Studios are doing it again. They will be releasing The Golf Club 2 which will release in the first quarter of 2017.

The game will a ship load of new additions from the previous game. These additions include a deeper player customization, Societies which is a play where virtual golfers can hang out and set up matches, a full practice area, and more tools in the already deep course designer.

These are just a few things. With the game still months away from release, there’s no telling to what will be added closer to launch.

The game will also feature a new swing mechanic that will give players choices. If you want the game to be as hard as humanly possible, there’s an option for that or if you want a more casual experience, then there’s that too.

There will also be a career mode where players can earn money to purchase new gear for their golfers. As hinted in the trailer, the career will likely have a “TGC Masters” tournament which also could indicate that TGC 2 will have its own representation of golf’s four majors.

There will also be new swing animations as well, making for an even more immersive experience.

One of the new tools in the course designer is the ability to add waterfalls. This was one thing that was missing from the original TGC but now is implemented.

Although there is no PGA Tour license or no big name golfer as its namesake, with the power of the course designer, players can certainly make it feel like they are playing on the Tour. Oh, and there’s the new ability to add spectators, so that will really bring the Tour environment to life.

So, with the many new changes, TGC 2 looks to make a run at sports gaming greatness next year. I believe golf video games are also one of the best ways to get kids interested in golf.

Kid plays game > kid wants to learn how to play golf > kid goes to range and hits balls > kid gets hooked on golf for life.

See how that works?

Dustin Johnson hit a tee shot off a fan’s head

OK, he didn’t tee the ball up on the fan’s head but after hitting his tee shot at Oakmont, the ball ricocheted off someone’s head. The ball then proceeded to bounce and makes its way into one of the concession stands.

He hit his shot out of the rough and landed into another patch of rough near the green. He then almost managed to hit an incredible birdie recovery shot with this crazy chip.

WATCH: Jordan Spieth was very angry about a tough break

Defending U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth had one of the most unlucky breaks you can get. During the U.S. Open on the par-4 17th, Spieth hit his tee shot and went for the green.

As it landed, it had backspin on it and the ball kept rolling…and rolling and rolling. This left Spieth in a horrible position causing him to shout different things as he walked away angry.

So, Oakmont has proved once again that it truly is one of the toughest tests in golf. Have fun kids!

Oakmont just broke a guy’s ankle at the U.S. Open

Oakmont is one golf’s most famous courses and is known for being a tough test of golf. The only course people may still say is tougher is Kiawah Island, a course designed by Pete Dye.

But Oakmont stepped its toughness level up by literally breaking a caddy’s ankle. The caddy of Chris Crawford went into a bunker, tripped and busted the ankle.

When golf courses attack. We can safely say that Oakmont looked like NBA legend Allen Iverson who was famous for breaking his opponents ankles (Not literally) with his incredible ball handling skills.

A.I. doesn’t have anything on Oakmont though.

Bubba Watson rocks high top shoes at Oakmont

Golf has certainly come a long way from the “boring” and “not cool” days and it shows with all of the unique personalities on the PGA Tour, as well as a strong following on social media.

The same goes for style too, as we’ve seen golfers wear snapbacks and high top shoes. Well, the high tops are back once again.

After Keegan Bradley and Rickie Fowler rocked their swagtastic kicks (Bradley even wore kicks with Michael Jordan’s second number, 45 on it) , two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson decided to do the same. His G/Fore Crusaders are custom and Watson even put a little touch on the design of the golf sneaker.

Well, if Oakmont ends up killing Watson this week, he can at least say brought a little swagger for the occasion.
