WATCH: Shane Lowry drops “F” bomb on TV, doesn’t apologize

Now, this is nothing really new but the combination of Shane Lowrly’s “F’ bomb and the apology from broadcaster Peter Jacobson is classic.

We’ve heard many golfers drops swears on live TV and God knows, those of us who suck at golf will drop a few bombs. This is why we probably see craters on the fairways of our local courses.

He also didn’t apologize for it either. This, via his Twitter account.

No need to shoot Lowry but the cameras certainly shot him when he said “the word”.

But, feel free to enjoy this clip and have a laugh. Just make sure your boss doesn’t hear it, and make sure your kids don’t hear it either.

After all, Lowry was feeling what we always feel.

WATCH: Golfer Jimmy Walker introduced as “Jimmy Fowler”

Jimmy Walker is one of the best golfers in the world, but during the Honda Classic, it made it seem like it wasn’t so as the first tee announcer called him “Jimmy Fowler”.

Now, it could have been a simple hiccup, or he mixed Walker’s name with that of Rickie Fowler, which is what many assume. It was a hilarious mistake that we all would probably make if we did the job as a first tee announcer.

Nobody’s perfect like Ivor Robson, the legendary Open Championship first tee announcer who had just retired recently. Of course, even at some point, Robson made a mistake or two.

To remember all of those names and faces is what makes what first tee announcers do so impressive. Think of a PA announcer. Same thing.

Well, you can be sure to expect a #JimmyFolwer trend on Twitter. Let’s see how big this can get, shall we?

Be sure to follow me, Colin Walker, I mean, Colin Mieczkowski on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! I’ll likely be practicing my first tee announcing skills into an audio recorder!

WATCH: This is one of the best holes-in-one you’ll ever see

LPGA Tour player Xi Yu Lin hit one of the craziest holes-in-one you’ll ever see, as the ball went 35 feet past the hole, and rolled all the way back.

With the ace, Lin won a shiny new Honda Accord. She’ll probably be polishing off her new ride, but she might need to polish off that golf ball and put it in a case because that shot was crazy.

I guess some golfers have super powers after all.

Brandel Chamblee Rips Tiger Woods’ Swing Video

The other day, Tiger Woods posted a video on Twitter of his swing, and how it’s progressing.

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee stepped up to the tee and said that Woods’ swing looks like an “injured 40-year old that was put back together”.

In case you missed it, the clip Chamblee is talking about, is this one.

Despite his comments, Chamblee did go on to say that Woods has made many comebacks in the past and that it wouldn’t be a shock that he would return but when it would happen is a different story. To some, Chamblee’s comments may not come as a surprise as he is widely regarded as the “Tiger Hater” by many of Woods’ fans.

Well, other than some of the things that have happened so quickly in the last few days, is anyone ready for the Masters?

WATCH: Tiger Woods hints return on Twitter, Rory McIlroy reacts

Tiger Woods comeback part 3 might be coming together smoother than expected as he posted a video of himself hitting shots on his simulator.

The only thing the tweet says is “Progressing nicely” and he lets the video speaks for itself. Woods got injured back in September and he said later that there was “no timetable” for his return and with this video, it seems that he may be back sooner rather than later.

Rory McIlroy tweeted a cute tweet in response to the clip.

McIlroy was then relieved that people took the joke well.

So, this is very interesting and we’ll see when Woods makes his return. Will it be in time for any of the majors?

We will soon see. But what do YOU think? When do you think Tiger Woods will make “comeback 3.0”?

WATCH: Jordan Spieth Shanks a Shot, Proves he’s Human

WHERE DID IT GO?? After coming off his worst first round EVER on the pro tour yesterday, Jordan Spieth is probably…

Posted by Fox 11 Los Angeles on Friday, February 19, 2016

Both Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy came off of probably their worst performances this past week at Riviera Country Club.

Spieth not only had a bad round, but even had a bad practice session that Friday where he shanked a shot. Yes, that’s right, the world no.1 ranked golfer hit a shank that made you and me feel better about ourselves.

This is also an extrordinary discovery as this proves that Spieth is human after all, and isn’t an alien. This is good to know, as the PGA Tour doesn’t have to worry about an alien policy and the USGA doesn’t have to create a new alien “playing by yourself” rule.

Oh, and the shank? 10 out of 10.

WATCH: Bubba Watson recreates “Augusta Hook” at Riviera

Remember Bubba Watson’s famous shot at the 2012 Masters, where he hooked his shot from behind the trees on the 10th hole at Augusta to win his first Green Jacket? Well, he did it again, this time, at Riviera.

During the second round of the Northern Trust Open, Watson hit a shot that curved way right and landed right on the green, leaving him a with a fairly short putt. Watson hit a shot for the ages at the Masters a few years ago.

Difference here is that there are less trees at Riviera than at Augusta National. Watson is looking for his ninth PGA Tour victory for his career.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! I can hook a shot into the parking lot!

Rory McIlroy owns Brandel Chamblee after weightlifting comments

Golf Channel broadcaster Brandel Chamblee made some comments about Rory McIlroy’s workout habits and the four-time major champion didn’t hesitate to strike back.

First, the comments from Chamblee:

On his way to the Northern Trust Open at legendary Riviera Country Club, McIlroy made his comeback:

And then there was the final blow:

Well played, @rorymcilroy. Well played. 🏋🏻💪🏻

A video posted by Golf Channel (@golfchannel) on

Chamblee, who is one of Golf Channel’s most popular analysts, has been known to draw controversy, mostly with negative reaction from fans. In this incident, from a superstar golfer.

Golf Channel ended up being a good sport about the whole thing with a “Well played Rory” caption on the above Instagram clip.

WATCH: Jordan Spieth’s caddie shanks badly at Pebble Beach

On the iconic par-3 7th hole at Pebble Beach, Jordan Spieth’s caddie shanked a shot that makes all of us say “Hey, I was there!”.

During Pebble Beach Pro-Am weekend, Michael Greller, Spieth’s caddie, looked to simply get it on the green the 7th at Pebble but found out that golf is a harder game than his golfer makes it look. Greller’s slice just shows that, just because a guy caddie’s for the best golfer in the world, doesn’t mean he’s not like one of us.

For some reason, since he’s the looper for Spieth, I just have a feeling that Greller is a great putter.

WATCH: This golf course in the Amazon is insane

So, this is pretty awesome, even if it is a little dangerous. Mike “Mad Mick” Collis and a couple of friends, designed a 9-hole golf course in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.

The course, also known as “Augusta of the Amazon” was featured on CNN’s “Living Golf” which details the stories of playing golf in unusual places (Sounds like my kind of show!). Collis, who has a home in Iquitos, Peru, decided he wanted to design a course near his crib.

The 9-hole design is a par-35 track and features “natural” putting greens, fresh from the jungle. I always enjoy when golf is brought to different locations that aren’t near golf courses.

Not everyone has access to golf.

Who needs real golf courses all the time anyway? Just grab your clubs, balls and play wherever the world takes you.

Oh, and is the “Amazon Masters” going to be starting soon? That would be cool.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter @ChiGolfRadio! You see a dude walking around towns with a golf club in his hand, then it’s probably me, finding a new place to tee it up.
