As we all know, the Ryder Cup is coming in 2014 and as always, it should be another classic. After arguably the greatest comeback in Ryder Cup history here in beautiful Chicago, the Europeans look to make another charge ut this time on their home turf in the always beautiful Scotland. We know guys like Ian Poulter and Greame McDowell will lead the charge for a usually dominate European squad and it’s shown how dominate the team’s been in the past several years. The U.S. squad always dominates in the President’s Cup against the International team but the Ryder Cup is a different story but they had a chance to win it last year at Medinah until the infamous collapse occurred which some people may say it was just the European squad dominating and not a U.S. collapse. On Wednesday, PGA.com put out a nice little list showing how the U.S. Ryder Cup squad would look today and the players that are of the list may surprise you although yes, I know it’s early and this all could change.

1. Phil Mickelson 2. Jason Dufner 3. Dustin Johnson 4. Ryan Moore 5. Harris English 6. Webb Simpson 7. Jimmy Walker 8. Chris Kirk 9. Jim Furyk ——————- 10. Jason Bohn 11. Gary Woodland 12. Brian Stuard

Although this team still looks strong, the notable missing players are Tiger Woods, Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson and I think it’s key to have at least two of those guys on the team. Only time will tell however but hey, at least my man Jason “Bad to the Bohn” made it on the early team! Sadly, he probably won’t make the real team unless he has a great season and goes wire to wire in a tournament like he did a few years back at the Zurich Classic. Of course Jason Dufner is featured on the list! Why wouldn’t he be? ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY QUESTION THE ALMIGHTY DUFF! So we’ll see how the new season gets played out and see how the teams are set come Ryder Cup time. I must say that I absolutely LOVE the Ryder Cup. It’s by far my favorite event not only in golf but maybe even in sports. The prestige, the honor and the glory at hand is unreal and to me the Europeans against the U.S. is one of the greatest rivalries in sports history. So let me know what you think of the potential U.S. Ryder Cup team!
