Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter are two completely different personalities and one player is more quiet (Stenson) and the other is quite the character (Poulter). Stenson however by far is having a better season and looks to start next year with a bang as well. Poulter on the other hand, although is a great golfer, is mostly known for his astounding performances in the Ryder Cup and match plays. He’s also known to speak his mind at times as well. That’s why he and Stenson will have their own shows on Sirius XM Radio which is known for their outstanding golf coverage on the PGA Tour channel. Two different personalities, two styles of shows. This will be very interesting because it makes you wonder who’s show will be the most successful. Poulter has already made a name for himself in golf as he has over 1,000,000 followers on Twitter while Henrik Stenson has over 60,000. Not saying that Twitter followers matter but it seems that Poulter has more fans but I think Stenson will continue to grow in popularity since he’s been tearing up the course lately, plus it’s not like he’s a nobody. He was a fairly popular player in the mid to late 2000’s until he practically vanished from the golf scene but is now back and playing his best golf.
”I’m looking forward to being on SiriusXM and sharing my thoughts on golf and my unique experiences around the world. It will be fun to bring my listeners along for the ride and give them an unvarnished look at life on and off the course.” the humble Stenson said according to Yahoo! Sports. Meanwhile on the other side of the lake, Ian Poulter was being the typical Ian Poulter we know. ”Those who know me know I’ve never been shy about sharing my opinions,” Poulter said again according to Yahoo! Sports. ”Now to have my own national radio show on SiriusXM will be great fun.” I’m sure it will be Ian, and that’s why we all love you and hate you at the same time. There’s no doubt that he’ll make things interesting on the airwaves. I think listeners will get along better with Stenson though as he seems more humble and seems like he may have more to talk about especially with his reason success. No start date was released for their shows yet. So, who’s show do you think will have the most success? Henrik Stenson’s show or Ian Poulter’s show?
